Sundays

9:45am Adult LIFE Groups - LIFE Groups are our small group Bible study opportunities in which four things are accomplished.
             L ... Learning the Scripture
             I  ... Involvement in Service
             F ... Fellowship ... Sharing Life
             E ... Evangelism of Seekers

Knowing Jesus and learning what it means to follow Jesus is a transforming – life-changing – experience. That is the goal of the teaching that takes place in the open LIFE Groups, that carries out this strategy, and undergirds the work of the Church. First Baptist Church Tulsa offers the following classes:

Synergy Single Adult LIFE Group
Married Adults LIFE Groups
Adult Life Group Focus Classes
Adult Discovery Classes

4:00pm Griefshare Seminars  - Seminars are held semi-annually on Sundays, 4pm – 6pm. The spring session is in March-April; fall session, September-October. During the 8-week sessions, participants meet once a week and learn to recognize the 10 stages of grief, develop coping skills and meet other people who are on their journey from mourning to joy. This outstanding seminar includes weekly support group discussions as well as videos featuring some of the nation’s foremost Christian experts on grief and recovery topics from a biblical perspective. All denominations are welcome. A small registration fee of $12 covers the cost of all materials. Scholarships are available. Pre-registration is encouraged, but not required. For more information call Beverly at 918-492-6462; Peggy, 918-446-3082; or the church office at 918-587-1571.

Griefcare Ministry - Grief is the physical, emotional, social and spiritual reactions to loss. At the time of loss due to death, our thoughts and feelings may seem to overwhelm us. The first step toward regaining a sense of control is understanding the process called Grief. It is natural, normal and necessary.

Grief Support Team - Grief Support Team members expand the outreach of the Bereavement and Prayer Ministry by maintaining contact with the surviving family members for a period of one year. Emphasis includes intercessory prayer, scriptural helps and personal encouragement to direct the hurting individuals to the healing power in Christ. Team members are compassionate, caring and loving individuals who have suffered a loss in their own close family. If you qualify and would like to be part of this ministry, contact Beverly at 918-492-6462; Dorothy, 918-587-3005; or the church office, 918-587-1571.

6:00pm Protos is the Greek word meaning first. It is also the name for our Sunday evening discipleship focus. From Men's Fraternity to Women's Mentoring Groups, from the New Christians Class to our Spiritual Leadership Class, there are many opportunities to dig deeper and more intently into faith.
