Missions Month Continued

Along with our Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) partnerships, First Baptist Tulsa partners with other missional agencies around the world in places where God is at work, places we can send short-term mission teams from First to aid in that work.

Just this past week, we sent a team to serve alongside our partner, Global Hope Network in Jordan. Team members ministered to refugees by visiting their homes and delivering care packages containing a one month supply of food staples. Visiting Our Compassion Center in Haiti

On Wednesday morning, August 7, Bobby Hart, First Baptist Tulsa chief operations officer, and I found ourselves driving some two hours over the roughest roads that the country of Haiti has to offer. But every bump in the road was worth enduring when we arrived at the community of Dame located on Haiti’s north coast.
