Deron joined the FBC staff in 2000. He served as a pastor at a church in Texas and associate pastor in Alabama. Originally from San Angelo, Texas, Deron received his BA from Angelo State University and M.Div from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Marissa has been a member of First Baptist since moving to Tulsa in 2007. She joined the staff in 2015 as Interim Missions Director and now serves as Director of Pastoral Care. Originally from Eugene, Oregon, Marissa received her BFA in Studio Art from Oklahoma Baptist University.
Marissa lives in Brady Heights with her husband Chris and their two daughters.

Kala, a member of First Baptist Tulsa since 1997, began working for First Steps Preschool in 2003 as a teacher and later coordinator. Originally from Missouri, Kala received her Associate degree from Tulsa Community College. She worked in Human Resources at Foley’s Department Store before joining the First Baptist Tulsa staff full time in 2012.

Kala lives with her husband and two daughters in Tulsa. She serves on Tulsa Public Schools Parent Teacher Association.

Jeff joined the FBC staff in 2000 and serves as the Minister of Worship. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Jeff received his BA in Music Education from Northeastern State University, and MM in Choral Conducting from the University of Arkansas. Prior to FBC Jeff was an Instructor of Music at Northeastern State University, and served as Music Minister at First Baptist Church, Muskogee, Oklahoma. Jeff is an active member of the Singing Churchmen of Oklahoma and the Baptist Church Music Conference, where he has served as President of both groups. Jeff has a beautiful family – He has been married to Jane since 1987, and he has three daughter Elyse lives Los Angeles, Emily, married to Seth and lives in Edmond, and Elizabeth, who is studying Art and Psychology at Oklahoma State University. Jeff and Jane live in South Tulsa with two dogs, Lucy and Noel.

Bobby came to FBC as a member in 1996 and joined the church staff in 2008. Prior to joining the FBC staff, he worked as an engineer in the telecommunications industry for 13 years. Bobby received his BS in Engineering Management from Missouri University of Science & Technology. Originally from Arizona, Bobby grew up in Warsaw, Missouri, in the Ozarks. He currently lives in Owasso with his wife and 4 children.
Bobby serves on the boards of GoTEN, a non-profit mission organization, and the Baptist Foundation of Oklahoma.

Mike joined the FBC staff in 2015. Before coming to FBC Mike served as a missionary through First Love International in the Philippines, and prior to that was a Christian school administrator. Born in Arizona and raised in Missouri, Mike received his degree in secondary education from the University of Central Missouri. He lives in Owasso with his wife and two children.

Brad began serving here at FBC in 2000. He also manages his own music production company, HendersongsMusic, specializing in arranging and recording. Brad lives in Ft. Gibson with his wife, Mary Kay and they have two sons. Henderson received his BA in Instrumental Music Education from Northeastern State University and his MA in Composition from the University of Arkansas. In his spare time, Brad is the conductor of the Oklahoma Baptist Symphony.

Jerry came to FBC in 2003. Prior to FBC he served as Minister of Education & Administration at three churches in Texas. He received a BA from the University of Texas, MA of Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas and is currently working on a DEd in Educational Ministry at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO. Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, but raised in Texas, Jerry and his wife live in Broken Arrow, they have two children and six grandchildren.

Jerry is a member of The Singing Churchmen of Oklahoma, Oklahoma Ministers of Education and Groups Association, Baptist Association of Christian Educators, and Ministers of Education Growth Association.

Chris joined the staff at First Baptist Tulsa in 2017. Originally from Arkansas he grew up a pastor’s kid. He went on to receive a BS in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. After working in the engineering field for 10 years, he felt God’s call into full-time ministry. Chris received a Masters of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Soon after, Chris launched and directed a Christian leadership development ministry at Yale University. He is blessed with a God gift of a precious wife, Micah, and three children, Ethan, Shiloh and Sophia.

Matt joined the FBC staff in 2006. Prior to FBC he served as Youth Pastor at churches in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Coppell, Texas and Mustang, Oklahoma. Matt received a BA in Agricultural Economics from Oklahoma State University and Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Theological Seminary. Orignally from Holdenville, Oklahoma, Matt lives in Tulsa with his wife and two children. Matt loves spending time with teenagers and helping students becoming fully devoted followers of Christ.

Michael came to FBC in 2012 after serving in the student ministries of First Baptist Dallas and Willow Creek Community Church. Originally from Sand Springs, Michael earned a B.A. in Applied Ministry from Oklahoma Baptist University and has also completed two Master of Arts degrees in Christian Education and Worship Leadership from Dallas Baptist University. Michael currently lives in Tulsa and enjoys teaching middle school and high school students as well as leading dynamic and creative worship experiences.

A native of Sand Springs, Debbie joined the FBC staff in 1994. She worked at Eastwood Baptist Church in Tulsa and Angus Acres Baptist Church in Sand Springs before joining the staff at FBC. Debbie serves on the Tulsa Metro VBS Team, is a member of the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary and served for 12 years on the Sand Springs Board of Education. Debbie lives with her husband in Sand Springs, and has two sons and three grandchildren.

Sabrina joined the staff at FBC in 2006 after serving 26 years at two churches in Oklahoma. Sabrina grew up in Ponca City and received her BA from University of Central Oklahoma. Sabrina works with Oklahoma Church Weekday Education, is a member of Ministers of Childhood Education of Oklahoma and served on the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma Disaster Relief Childcare Unit. Sabrina lives with her husband in Jenks, they have three children and two grandchildren.
